Discover Adelaide: A top-tier destination for business events

Adelaide’s state-of-the-art venues, world-class food and wine and unique experiences that blend culture and adventure make it an unbeatable destination for business events.

Ahead of the IUPESM World Congress on Medical Physics and Biomedical Engineering 2025 and the Concrete Institute of Australia’s Biennial National Conference 2025, which both take place in Adelaide in September, we speak to Arinex’ Business Development Manager Hannah Drewett and Event Strategist Melissa Murphy to find out what opportunities await the business events scene in the great state of South Australia.
Tell us about your recent Destination South Australia showcase hosted by Business Events Adelaide?
We experienced an outstanding showcase of venues, experiences, and business event offerings across the city of Adelaide and surrounds. From the breathtaking Welcome Event at Adelaide Oval to the dynamic Business Exchange Day featuring 40 local event suppliers, every moment was thoughtfully designed to reinforce Adelaide’s strength as a premier business events destination as well as the region’s versatility and appeal. The spectacular Showcase Dinner at Wolf Blass ‘The Man’ Event Centre at Morphettville Racecourse was a true highlight, blending elegance with South Australia’s iconic produce and renowned hospitality. Beyond the city, immersive regional experiences in the Adelaide Hills and Barossa Valley provided firsthand insight into the area’s world-class food, wine, and unique incentive offerings.

And if you had to pick a highlight..?
It’s a tough choice, but EOS by SkyCity stood out as an exceptional five-star hotel offering high-end conference spaces, indulgent spa experiences, and rooftop venues with stunning cityscape views, every detail was flawless.

The Adelaide Oval welcome reception was equally impressive- stepping inside the historic scoreboard and hearing the rich stories behind it was an unforgettable experience, opening the curtain into Adelaide’s sporting heritage.

And then there’s the Adelaide Hills which is spectacular in every sense, with its blend of boutique luxury and authentic experiences – like exploring the beautiful Jurlique Farm, where Jurlique’s botanical ingredients are grown. Groups can tour the property, participate in skincare workshops, and experience the beauty of South Australian nature firsthand. A must for any incentive wanting to weave in a wellness element.
