LOCATION
As Australia’s only island state, access to Tasmania is by air and sea only. Regular flights depart from Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane the Gold Coast, Adelaide and Perth fly direct to Hobart and Launceston. Hobart airport is situated 17 kilometres from the city centre.

Launceston is located in northern Tasmania. There are frequent scheduled flights of around one hour every day from Melbourne to Launceston, as well as daily flights from Sydney and Brisbane. The airport is located 15 kilometres from the city.
