The tide is turning for the events and conference sector. Leading government agencies together with representatives from the Australian Business Events Industry sector will come together in a joint initiative to get the ball rolling. Hear from leading global representative, Patrizia Buongiorno (Vice President AIM Group International), about world readiness for both face to face and hybrid concepts and implementation. Dr Vanessa Findlay (Chair, Business Events Council of Australia) will also speak on the Australian Recovery and Rebound Framework and key principals developed for COVIDSafe guidelines specific to business events in Australia. This showcase event will endorse the readiness of venues and industry in Australia. You are invited to participate in this hub and spoke format either face to face in a live venue in one of Australia’s leading Convention Centres, or virtually from the comfort of your own home. We hope that attendees will be inspired after attending this event with a renewed confidence to progress planning and development of future events in Australia. Patrizia has been the Managing Director of AIM Congress Dept of AIM Group International for the past 16 years and she is actually Vice-President for AIM Group International.
She has been President of IAPCO and a member of the IAPCO Training Academy and she also teaches tourism management and marketing at the Universities of Economics of Rome and Milan. She also serves as co-Chair of INCON. (Global Partnership also in Conferences and Events). The medical-scientific world has always been the focal point of Patrizia, nevertheless the Group diversification into other market segments has reached new heights. The full management of congresses, meetings and events on behalf of associations, corporations and institutions is the Group’s core business which employs more than 350 permanent staff in 17 cities worldwide.
As a volunteer leader Patrizia is Secretary General of Fimac, the International Foundation Doctors for Central Africa, which is a non profit organization that aims to improve the health conditions of people in Central Africa through cooperative humanitarian projects.

Dr. Vanessa Findlay is a highly experienced and well-respected professional within government, the public and private sectors. She is Principal at BGE, and is Counsel House’s service partner. Vanessa has been a Ministerial Chief of Staff in the Turnbull Government in the trade, tourism and international education portfolios.
She has a history of almost 20 years in the Australian Public Service including as Division Head looking after trade and market access in the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources. She was a lead negotiator for Australia’s agriculture exports, the Australian Government’s Chief Biosecurity Officer, and media spokesman on biosecurity. Vanessa has a PhD in immunology.
