Strengthening connections: Arinex and partners host events at AIME 2023

Arinex recently teamed up with industry players to host two events on the sidelines of the Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) in Melbourne.

On February 14, following the opening day of AIME, Arinex organised a gathering in collaboration with event technology company Joyn and Business Events Wellington, the official convention bureau for the Wellington region in New Zealand. The event was held at Strato, the rooftop bar and restaurant situated at the Oakwood Premier Melbourne, where over 40 event managers from various associations gathered for a night of socialising and a specially crafted Valentine’s Day cocktail courtesy of Business Events Wellington.

“We were excited to collaborate with Joyn and Business Events Wellington for this special event,” said Nicole Walker, Managing Director of Arinex. “It provided an opportunity for event managers to connect, share their experiences, and build relationships in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.”

The following evening, Arinex, Joyn and the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG Events) hosted an exclusive dinner for over 50 guests, including bid leaders and international conference chairpersons. The intimate dining experience took place in the Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) Committee Room located in the heart of the MCC Members’ Reserve, and featured a menu designed by one of Melbourne’s most highly regarded chefs, Guy Grossi.

“Following another productive day at AIME, the dinner provided us with an opportunity to create a memorable experience for our guests and foster relationships in a more personal setting,” added Ms Walker.

The industry leaders were treated to pre-dinner drinks on the cricket ground boundary before being seated for dinner. Guests were treated to an acoustic musician from Solution Entertainment, a personalised cartoon impression illustrated by the talented and interactive caricature artist Gavin Bell and sustainable seeded-paper dinner place cards crafted by Melbourne-based company Paper-Go-Round.

These events showcased Arinex’ dedication to collaboration and its ability to bring together key players in the business events industry. With expertise in event management and valued partnerships with Joyn, Business Events Wellington, Strato and the Oakwood Premier Melbourne and MCG Events, Arinex successfully delivered two memorable experiences for attendees.

“The return of AIME and in-person events has brought a renewed sense of excitement and energy to the industry,” Ms Walker said. “Everyone enjoyed coming together, sharing experiences and discussing the future of events.”
