With more than 2,800 international delegates set to meet in Melbourne for the International Society for Stem Cell Research (ISSCR) 2018, a large-scale accommodation solution was required.

The international host committee wanted to offer multiple hotel options for its delegates but with limited knowledge of the Melbourne hotel industry they needed a booking management company with on-the-ground experience and relationships.

Arinex’ accommodation team was the answer, able to negotiate substantial room blocks with nine of its partner hotels to cater for all delegates and budgets. Years of experience meant Arinex staff were able to accurately forecast delegate bookings and could manage hotel blocks accordingly.

At all times, the Arinex accommodation team acted as a friendly contact point for all delegate enquiries. The focus on customer service continued onsite where Arinex established a pop-up desk to handle last-minute enquiries.

In all, Arinex handled 3,278 room nights for ISSCR taking on the financial risk associated with last-minute cancellations and all at no cost to the client.
