IAPCO has selected Alessandra Damant, Arinex’ National Conference Organising team leader, as its new Next Generation Council co-opted member.
Alessandra has a Bachelor in Strategic Marketing and International Business which she obtained in Paris, France and a Masters of Hospitality and Tourism Management, majoring in Event Management from the University of Queensland, Australia. Her passion for the meetings industry was established from these studies and she has built her career within this industry over the past 15 years.
She started as a Senior Project Coordinator at Arinex in 2017 and is now the National Conference Organising team leader, overseeing 12 staff across 4 offices. She is an extremely personable team member who is customer-service driven and committed to making every event a success.
Alessandra has worked on several International and National Conferences across a variety of sectors including linguistics, engineering, risk management and medical, managing their overall operational delivery as well as ensuring sound financial management. Most recently she managed the Concrete Institute of Australia (CIA) National Conference 2021 and she will oversee the upcoming XIII International Congress of Dermatology 2021 in November.
She has been working on developing key partnerships with suppliers and stakeholders within the Melbourne, Australia market to drive benefits and outcomes for both clients and Arinex. More recently, she was integral in developing the innovative Digital Conference Organising (DCO) team for Arinex and upskilling staff within the organisation in order to prepare the team for the digital transformation of events.
The Council said it looks forward to working with Alessandra, who will remotely join her first Council meeting at the end of the month.
